Fractura expuesta de patela con patrón vertical. Reporte de un caso

RESUMEN

Se presenta el caso de un paciente con fractura vertical de patela expuesta, el cual es manejado mediante aseo quirúrgico, desbridación, reducción abierta y fijación interna bajo principio biomecánico de compresión interfragmentaria con tornillos de 3.5mm. Las fracturas abiertas de la rótula son una urgencia quirúrgica y deben ser tratadas con un desbridamiento y lavado inmediato, la cobertura adecuada de tejidos blandos reduce la incidencia de infección.
