RESUMEN

Desde la aparición de la nanotecnología y el desarrollo de nanoestructuras aplicadas a la investigación de diversas patologías han abierto la posibilidad de innovar en el conocimiento de la fisiopatología de una forma que antes era inaccesible. Aunado a esto su incorporación como herramientas diagnósticas y terapéuticas permiten prescribir tratamientos específicos tomando en cuenta la dotación genética de los pacientes y monitorear otros factores que inciden en la respuesta terapéutica y en su pronóstico, es decir la posible aplicación de una medicina personalizada.
