Coalición carpal bilateral. Reporte de un caso

RESUMEN

Paciente masculino de 35 años de edad, sin antecedentes de importancia, deportista de alto rendimiento. Por traumatismo en muñecas, fue valorado con radiografías de mano que demostraron coalición semiluno-piramidal bilateral. Aunque la mayoría de las coaliciones carpales, incluyendo la coalición semiluno-piramidal, no interfieren en el funcionamiento normal de la muñeca, con el tiempo algunos pacientes pueden cursar con dolor, debido a la pérdida del movimiento normal entre los huesos fusionados y a un incremento del movimiento compensatorio entre los huesos del carpo y los tejidos adyacentes.
