ABSTRACT

A male 35-year-old high-performance athlete with no prior medical history had a wrist trauma, X-rays were taken and bilateral lunotriquetral coalition was found. Although most of the carpal coalitions, including the lunotriquetral one, do not interfere with the normal range of motion of the wrist, eventually some patients may present pain due to the loss of movement between the fused bones and the increased compensatory movement between the carpal bones and soft tissues.
