RESUMEN

Se presenta el primer caso clínico del síndrome de Freeman-Sheldon informado en México. Se trata de una lactante con artrogriposis congénita múltiple y facies característica de “niño silbador”. La paciente presentó cuadro clínico excepcional con todas las manifestaciones clásicas del síndrome. Se realiza un análisis sobre los elevados riesgos quirúrgicos y anestésicos derivados de las múltiples anomalías presentes en dicha entidad, y se describen las actuales técnicas anestésicas empleadas en Japón y Estados Unidos.
