RESUMEN

El síndrome neurológico posmalaria es una complicación infrecuente del paludismo que ocurre principalmente en pacientes con malaria grave por Plasmodium falciparum. Se presentó un paciente cubano que 2 semanas después del diagnóstico y tratamiento de la malaria en Mozambique y de mantenerse asintomático, desarrolló manifestaciones neurológicas compatibles con un síndrome neurológico posmalaria. El tratamiento con metilprednisolona produjo mejoría
