Tumor de células gigantes de alta agresividad en rodilla. Reporte de 4 casos

RESUMEN

El tumor de células gigantes (TCG), es de los tumores que causan más controversia e impredecible en su comportamiento clínico. En este trabajo reportamos 4 casos en estadio III (altamente agresivos), entre marzo del 2001 y abril del 2002, con rango de edad de 28 a 55 años. Los 4 pacientes fueron del sexo masculino. Afectándose la rodilla derecha en 3 casos y la rodilla izquierda 1 caso. Se evaluaron los casos de acuerdo a su comportamiento clínico, 3 de los casos se trataron con amputación supracondílea y en 1 caso se colocó prótesis de rodilla de tipo tumoral. Ninguno desarrolló metástasis y los 4 casos presentaron buena evolución clínica. Enfocamos la discusión con respecto al tratamiento de este estadio de acuerdo a los reportes en la literatura.
