Contractura de Dupuytren bilateral. ¿A quién corresponde su manejo: al ortopedista, al cirujano o al dermatólogo?

RESUMEN

La contractura de Dupuytren es una alteración rara del tejido conectivo debida a la proliferación de fibroblastos; se manifiesta como engrosamiento nodular (fibromatosis) de la fascia palmar, que se adhiere a la piel y la retrae. Puede ser manifestación de padecimientos como diabetes mellitus, alcoholismo y trastornos convulsivos.
Presentamos el caso de un paciente femenino de 65 años de edad con esta alteración en ambas palmas, con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 mal controlada de cinco años de evolución.
