Parto gemelar asincrónico. Presentación de un caso y revisión del tratamiento obstétrico

RESUMEN

Antecedentes: las gestaciones gemelares han aumentado significativamente en la última década. Suelen asociarse con mayores complicaciones obstétricas respecto de las gestaciones únicas, principalmente la prematuridad. En casos excepcionales puede producirse el parto prematuro de alguno de los fetos y permanecer retenido en la cavidad uterina el segundo feto hasta su posterior nacimiento, produciéndose el llamado parto asincrónico de gemelos.
Caso Clínico: paciente con embarazo gemelar, con parto del primer feto muerto a las 22+6 semanas de gestación y del segundo vivo 8 días después, a las 24 semanas de gestación, con evolución favorable. Se revisaron los casos publicados en la bibliografía y se discute el tratamiento obstétrico del parto asincrónico.
