FRAGMENTO

En México, la prevalencia de obesidad en población adulta alcanza alrededor del 30%, siendo una de las mayores a nivel mundial. Esta circunstancia no hace improbable que un paciente, el cual es sometido a cirugía robótica, sea obeso; adicionalmente, la cirugía robótica bariátrica es una modalidad en aumento dentro de la cirugía robótica. Es así como diversos grupos han reportado series de casos con la morbilidad asociada en pacientes obesos a la cirugía robótica.
