Estimado Doctor Murillo Godínez:
A lo largo del tiempo, la apendicectomía ha sido considerada
como un evento quirúrgico seguro y sencillo. En las
últimas décadas se ha intentado investigar la función del
apéndice dentro del organismo. En varios estudios científicos
se ha visto que el apéndice vermiforme, antes considerado
un órgano vestigial, tiene múltiples funciones,
principalmente de índole inmunológica.
