Reportes de caso en dermatología: recomendaciones para su diseño y elaboración

RESUMEN

Los reportes de casos (RC) clínicos son narrativas detalladas que ilustran un problema diagnóstico-terapéutico, el cual han experimentado uno o varios pacientes. Pueden carecer de valor en el contexto de la medicina basada en evidencias, pero sirven como una herramienta de gran utilidad en la formación de los médicos residentes de distintas especialidades, sobre todo en dermatología. Los reportes de casos clínicos buscan compartir de manera relativamente sencilla información con fines médicos, científicos o educacionales. Este artículo revisa de manera general sus características, objetivos y limitaciones, además provee la información sobre cómo elaborarlos de acuerdo con los estándares de calidad internacionales.
