Evaluación inicial del paciente con síncope

RESUMEN

El síncope es una disfunción del sistema nervioso autónomo que se caracteriza por la pérdida del tono vasoconstrictor, y se clasifica en tres grandes causas. Su alta prevalencia genera actualmente cierto grado de incertidumbre, fundamentalmente en el reconocimiento de pacientes con etiologías potencialmente mortales. Por eso la importancia de una detallada evaluación inicial del síncope por parte del médico tratante, con la finalidad de identificar la causa subyacente del episodio sincopal para su preciso abordaje.
