Evaluación radiológica en la hemiartroplastía cementada del hombro

RESUMEN

Objetivo: Evaluar radiográficamente las zonas de radiolucencia periprotésica en aquellos pacientes intervenidos quirúrgicamente mediante hemiartroplastía de hombro cementada. Material y métodos: Se realizó un estudio transversal de 25 pacientes operados de hemiartroplastía del hombro tipo modular bipolar cementada con artrosis glenohumeral de cualquier etiología, edad y sexo, a quienes se les realizó una evaluación radiológica para la identificación de zonas de radiolucencia periprotésica, definiendo a un componente humeral en “riesgo” radiológico para la pérdida clínica del mismo, cuando las líneas de radiolucencia fueran mayor de 2 mm en 3 o más zonas periprotésicas. Se llevó a cabo estadística descriptiva con medidas de tendencia central y dispersión para las variables radiológica y demográficas. Resultados: La prevalencia de la enfermedad fue del 0.4% del total de consultas ortopédicas de primera vez, la edad promedio fue de 61.7 ± 12.49 (rango 32-85 años), sexo masculino 8.6% y femenino 91.4%; la etiología más frecuente fue la degenerativa con 45.8%, el lado más afectado fue el izquierdo 54.3%. Con un seguimiento de 19 ± 8.6 meses, en la evaluación radiológica se identificó que el 20.8% de los pacientes presentaron “riesgo” radiológico; mientras que sólo el 4.2% de ellos no tuvieron línea de radiolucencia.
