Artroscopia de cadera método diagnóstico y tratamiento de artritis séptica: reporte de caso

RESUMEN

La artritis séptica es una patología poco frecuente en el adulto, pero su diagnóstico urgente y acertado será fundamental en la prevención de las lesiones devastadoras que produce. La artroscopia de cadera es uno de los procedimientos quirúrgicos más evolutivos en los últimos tiempos, se describe sus indicaciones, la técnica quirúrgica y complicaciones. Permite el diagnóstico y tratamiento de la artritis séptica en el mismo tiempo quirúrgico, con menor morbilidad para el paciente y menor tiempo de recuperación en comparación con procedimientos abiertos. Se presenta el caso de una paciente con de trauma de cadera izquierda, con datos clínicos inespecíficos; con estudios de gabinete sugestivo de infección. Se realizó como método diagnóstico y tratamiento artroscopia de cadera y se diagnosticó positiva por artritis séptica.
