The institutional doctoral strategy: an approach to the most relevant scientific results

ABSTRACT
Objective: to explain the contribution of the doctoral strategy to the scientific results of the Latin American School of
Medicine.
Materials and methods: a mixed study was carried out to reveal the results from the qualitative and quantitative, in
addition, a population of 33 applicants was taken into account at the beginning, which was increasing until 2019, which
had 49 applicants.
Results: the institutional doctoral strategy obtained significant achievements. Five stages were taken into account for
its execution: the updating of the potential, orientation of the resources, preparation and planning of the action plan
and finally the control, monitoring and evaluation of the strategy for the training of Doctors of Science in the institution.
Conclusions: The results in these three years have been satisfactory and of great value for the professors, the
departments and the Latin American school of medicine. The results obtained are reverted to greater preparation,
personal growth, professionalism and, above all, the multiplication of knowledge in the academic training of future
doctors in the world.
