The renewal of Archivos de Neurociencias is an opportunity to recover the academic and scientific tradition of the Journal, and the opportunity to innovate that tradition by establishing a dialogue with contemporary trends in the scientific world and in our society.
Archivos de Neurociencias has sought, over the decades, to establish itself as a forum for discussion and debate around the fascinating research in all the branches of basic and applied neuroscience. The underlying philosophy defends the thesis that knowledge has an intrinsic value, and that this value increases when research is dedicated to addressing the problems that concern human life, and in particular, the health and disease processes that provoke the need for a clinical neuroscience. In this way, the journal renews its commitment to become a distinguished forum for the presentation of basic research in the fields of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neurobiochemistry and immunology of the nervous system. We also welcome the reports related to all the fields of applied and technological research that seek to clarify the complex landscapes of the nervous system and its place in the human organism.
