ABSTRACT
Pulmonary leiomyosarcoma is a neoplasm that is included in the group of lung sarcomas, which constitute 0.2-0.5% of all lung tumors. It originates from the bronchial, interstitial or vascular smooth muscle. The best treatment is complete surgical resection, when feasible, achieving greater survival. We present the case of a 78 year old patient, who consults for progressive dyspnea, for two months of evolution, with an imaging finding of a giant right lung mass, which compresses and displaces adjacent anatomical structures: pulmonary parenchyma, mediastinum and diaphragm. Surgical treatment is performed, achieving total resection.REFERENCES
