ABSTRACT

The chondroectodermal dysplasia or Ellis-van Creveld syndrome. Caused by a mutation in two genes EVC and EVC2. There are few studies in the literature for the specific treatment of genu valgus. We present two clinical cases with severe genu valgum. Requiring multiple surgical procedures as guided growth and alignment osteotomies to achieve correction of the deformities. Correction was achieved in both patients. Preoperative planning is essential to obtain successful results, in addition to clinical and radiographic follow up to determine possible surgical procedures.
