Traumatic anterior hip dislocation, closed reduction, avascular necrosis, osteosynthesis of the femoral head.

ABSTRACT

Traumatic anterior dislocation of the hip is uncommon in children, and may result from low energy trauma. Treatment, like all traumatic dislocations, is an emergency. We present the case of a two-year-old boy with traumatic anterior hip dislocation following a fall. Importance: There is little support in the literature for traumatic anterior dislocation of the hip in children due to low energy trauma.
