ABSTRACT

There are few paintings referring to St. Luke as a doctor, one of them is in the Prado Museum and is attributed to Juan de Sevilla with the name of St. Luke, which presents him practicing surgery on the head. Reference is made to the medical activity of Saint Luke and the analysis of the painting.
