ABSTRACT

Aneurysmal bone cyst is an injury of osteolytic nature that often occurs in the long bones and rarely in two bones of the maxillofacial complex simultaneously; the surgical management of these lesions is mainly based on enucleation or resection, depending on the clinical features and anatomic location of the lesion. When large lesions affect the facial bones, extraoral approaches are a therapeutic necessity; however, the aesthetic impact should be considered. The case of a male patient with simultaneous maxillary and malar condition treated with resection of the lesion through a modified Weber-Fergusson approach is reported, as well as his eight-year follow-up.
