ABSTRACT

The scientific poster is a graphic representation of research data that constitutes fast and reliable publications that includes different levels of information. For this purpose, this tool can be presented in a wide variety of designs and formats. The main objective of a scientific poster is to share the results of an investigation in a graphic and brief way these scientific posters can be presented in both physical and digital, and developed vertical or horizontal; according to what is most appropriate for the research and for the authors. The sections that a scientific poster must include are the following: title, introduction to the research question or hypothesis, explanation of the used method, results, and conclusions. It is very important to include bibliographical sources within it. The preparation of a poster must follow the format (IMRyD) and must have convincing data, contain text that is easy to read in a short time, a creative use of tables, figures, and graphs, always leaving blank areas to generate a sensation of spaciousness. One of the primary considerations for a poster is that it should be self-explanatory, allowing viewers to move at their own pace. A poster will be able to organize the highlights of various plot threads sufficiently well defined, so that informed viewers can know what it is about and go as deep as they want to. The design of the poster must represent a synthesis of the work and preferably use graphic elements and diagrams to make it more entertaining and interesting. Remember that a poster is a graphic representation of scientific work. The characteristics of a good scientific poster are eye-catching, creative, synoptic, graphic, and visible from a minimum of 3 meters away.
