Evaluation of quality nutritious attention of the obese patient in UMF State of Mexico

ABSTRACT

Obesity is a sickness accompanied of numerous complications, it favors arteriosclerosis, arterial high blood pressure and on those who has a genetic predisposition to diabetes, represents surgical risk, because of this was made an analysis of last five years at the Delegation of State of Mexico related to nutritious attention to obese patients in first level units representing the first motive of demanding attention, 35% in this respect to other sufferings looked after. Because of this was determined to make and exhaustive evaluation of quality on attention given to obese patients. To know the quality of attention to obese patient. The research was done in 38 medical familiar units. Being an observational, prospective and transversal descriptive research where were applied 465 opinion polls to obese patients between 20 and 65 years old both sexes, who attended from April 6 to May 25, 1996 to nutrition and dietetic external consultancy at Toluca, Naucalpan, Tlalnepantla, Ecatepec and the Reyes zones from the State of Mexico Delegation, also were applied 28 opinion polls to dietists to evaluate satisfaction of service provider. In the opinion polls were explored as variables the user satisfaction and satisfaction of the dietists-nutritionists. Was observed an χ2 statistically significative in both p ‹ 0.01 was explained very clearly the 3 groups of meals and corresponding nutritious properties 92%, were done proposals for combinations of meals and variety of preparations to improve their diet 93%, meals recommended for their diet are affordable for their economical possibilities 83%. How much do you spend for you and your family? 9.17% average, Which meals did you consume yesterday? 12% do you suffer any emotional tension? 62%. Recording the second variable was questioned about ten aspects from those stands out: Are you satisfied at the end of your working day? 96% do you feel security at work? 96% do you consider your working area adequate? 39% when your boss supervises at you, does he make it kindly? 100% do you feel supported by your boss regarding your hold? 89% Has your boss congratulated you during the last six months because of your good performance? 68% because of these was not detected insatisfaction among personnel 81% average. Was concluded that patient has satisfaction 92%, according to attention in a 92% but recording neurological attention received and the economical restriction is a very important factor to achieve a varied and abundant diet, because of this it is not possible to change habits to a better quality diet however, neurological education must be constant.
