ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic brought severe disruption to life as we knew it, for example, social distancing strategies were not harmless. Confinement and school closures as a mitigation measure modified social dynamics and had effects on the health, well-being and development of children and adolescents throughout the world. This article presents an analysis of the health, economic and social consequences of the healthcare paradigm implemented during the pandemic.
