Is bioethics the antidote against the legal demand to the doctor?

ABSTRACT

In the daily practice of medicine, the health professional is faced with situations that may lead him to make an error or omission, perhaps due to excessive workload, lack of institutional equipment, among other things, and this can make patients file a complaint with the different public institutions. Other reasons for complaint may be: an inadequate doctor-patient relationship, providing deficient information, practicing defensive medicine among other causes and in these situations bioethics plays a very important role, so knowing about the subject helps a lot to avoid situations in which the doctor could be sued legally.
