ABSTRACT

Currently the ignorance of alternative dispute resolutions, better known as ADR, still exists; in many cases, it is still considered that the only means of resolving disputes is through a judicial institution, that is, with the beginning of a trial. However, for a long time there have been various methods such as conciliation, mediation and arbitration, among others, which are used to resolve conflicts arising in various matters. Such is the case of CONAMED, which carries out conciliation for the resolution of disputes between users of medical services and health service providers (public and private). The National Commission carries out the conciliation process, with strict adherence to the principles that characterize this ADR, mainly because it allows the process to be more agile and economical compared to litigation.
