ABSTRACT

The multiple options of bariatric procedures have been a fundamental pillar in the treatment of obesity, analyzing the effectiveness of each of them generates interest to offer the best option focused on offering a better quality of life to the patient. An observational, analytical and cross-sectional study was carried out in which 49 patients who were operated on in different bariatric surgery techniques were included, the results were analyzed with the statistical package RStudio. In all techniques, the objective of having an average decrease in the percentage of excess weight greater than 80% at twelve months was met, being the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, the gastric sleeve and the BariClip the ones that showed the best results, however, long-term follow-up is needed to achieve a statistically significant result.
