ABSTRACT
Congenital defects of the pericardium are uncommon, asymptomatic malformations and whose diagnosis is often incidental. We present the case of a 15-year-old male, with atrial septal defect associated with partial pericardium agenesia, who underwent surgical correction, which progressed satisfactorily. Congenital defects of the pericardium are an entity difficult to diagnose and possibly underdiagnosed, which requires surgical treatment when associated symptoms are present.REFERENCES
