ABSTRACT

A small aortic valve annulus produces hemodynamic and structural alterations thereby requiring a solution by means of different procedures as annular enlargement and decreasing left ventricle afterload, improving survival. We present herein a 20-year-old male with a history of aortic valve replacement and ductus arteriosus closure. An enlargement of the aortic annulus and aortic valve replacement were performed, as well as myectomy, mitral valve replacement, tricuspid comisuroplasty and transpulmonary closure of patent ductus arteriosus.
