ABSTRACT

Introduction: solitary sacral plasmacytoma is a very rare location of plasma cell proliferation, usually occurring in the 6th decade of life. Clinical cases: we present two cases in patients of the 4th decade of life, with insidious and progressive clinical picture characterized by low back pain, and with imaging findings characteristic of the lesion, non-sclerotic lytic changes were observed in the computed tomography, with thinned corticals, and in the magnetic resonance it is observed that the lesion respects the intervertebral disc. emitting a hypointense, homogeneous signal, which are enhanced by the administration of contrast; the definitive diagnosis in both cases was carried out by a representative sample, combining the fixed needle intake through a safe working channel with a tubular system. Conclusion: solitary sacral plasmacytoma can occur in patients of the 4th decade of life; tomography and MRI are sensitivity studies with the same morphological characteristics of the lesion; fine needle biopsy, plus a tubular system increases the diagnostic possibility.
