Key words:

Aortopulmonary window, aorticopulmonary septal defect, left pulmonary artery from duct.

ABSTRACT

The aortopulmonary window is a rare congenital heart disease (0.2-0.6%). It is a communication between the ascending aorta and the pulmonary main pulmonary artery with separate semilunar valves. The clinical impact depends on the window’s size, the presence of associated defects and the evolution of pulmonary hypertension. We present a case of an older male infant with aortopulmonary window, severe pulmonary hypertension and unusually associated cardiac abnormalities (ventricular septal defect, left pulmonary artery from duct).
