ABSTRACT

Ascending aorta aneurisms are infrequent in our population: However, the high mortality rate is mandatory for an early treatment once the diagnosis has been made. We present the case of a 72 year-old male, who presented an ascending aortic aneurism, managed with the placement of a handcrafted valved conduit using a dacron graft and a biologic valve prosthesis. The postoperative outcome was uneventful. Actually, the patient is asymptomatic under regular clinical surveillance.
