ABSTRACT
The article highlights a serious complication that occurred after the installation of the cranial halo for the correction of a deformity in the spine.
Case report: a clinical case is presented after the clinical and surgical follow-up of the patient, along with the review of the patient's medical history.
Discussion: this is a rare complication, related to the perforation of the internal skull board, with only three cases previously described. These cases presented with acute symptoms that led to the diagnosis of the cause.
Conclusion: the application of the halo can cause complications and must be carried out with technical precision.
