ABSTRACT
Chronic appendicitis is a process and etiology that has been very controversial in the medical field over the years. Some authors doubt its existence, and others corroborate it due to the presence of histopathological data of chronic inflammation, which represents 1-1.5% of all cases of appendicitis.
