ABSTRACT

A femoral pseudoaneurysm is a saculation of the arterial layers of the femoral artery and is one of the leading causes of puncture in vascular catheterization interventions. Doppler ultrasound is the gold standard for its diagnosis. Its incidence is 2-8% when coronary angioplasty/stenting is performed. A 76-year-old male with a pseudoaneurysm in the right lower extremity after angioplasty with the femoral approach. The ultrasound shows a pseudoaneurysm with "Ying-Yang", an aliasing phenomenon at the site of communication, and a high resistance index.
