Work motivation in a group of dentists

ABSTRACT
The objective was to describe the dominant needs for motivation on dental groups in Mexico City. The target population was constituted by dentists in nine Sanitary jurisdictions of the public health service of the Government of Mexico City. We obtained their written informed consent to participle in the study and asked them to complete the «Personal Motivation Inventory». The sample was conformed by 148 dentists randomly selected from the jurisdiction. The 65% of population in the study had the need to feel a sense of achievement, indispensable for a productive job. And it’s distinctive of the people, who do best in their work.
