ABSTRACT
Introduction: double row reconstruction, or the SpeedBridge technique, is innovative for Haglund's deformity and has good biomechanical results. It reduces symptomatology in patients with chronic ankle pain secondary to insertional Achilles tendinopathy and posterior ankle impingement.
Objective: to present the surgical technique for treating Haglund's deformity in an active patient.
Clinical case: we present the clinical case of a 31-year-old man with chronic ankle pain secondary to posterior impingement, performing imaging studies diagnosing Haglund's deformity performing reconstruction with the SpeedBridge technique as surgical treatment, evidencing clinical improvement and decrease in pain.
Conclusions: the double-row technique is a good alternative for the surgical management of this pathology. It produces excellent functional results, reducing pain and improving quality of life.
