The Chiari network occurs due to incomplete resorption of the correct sinus venosus valve. It is noticed as a fenestrated membranous or reticular network structure in the valve of the inferior vena cava and coronary sinus. The left venous valve (LVV) remnant is observed as trabeculae over the fossa ovalis. The incidence of Chiari network and LVV is 3.75 and 7.5%, respectively. These structures may create diagnostic confusion.
