Lip Lift Deep Plane: safety and predictability with deep plane release series of 523 cases

The lip lift surgery was described in the 1970s and has been performed worldwide, with considerable variation in the incision pattern, suture technique, and postoperative care. The lack of standardization in the execution of the technique prompted us to report our experience in 523 cases operated using the Deep Plane Lip Lift technique, from January 1, 2017, to February 1, 2024. Within this article, we will address the three pillars that directly impact the final result: patient selection, key points in surgical technique, and postoperative care.
