ABSTRACT
Teaching and learning strategies in postgraduate pediatrics have evolved substantially, placing clinical simulation as an essential part of the curriculum. The implementation of simulation allows students to practice their clinical and decision-making skills on some significant problems they may face in their daily work. An overview is provided of its importance in teaching and how it influences clinical competencies for the training of pediatricians.
