ABSTRACT

This article describes the implementation of a clinical simulation workshop called "Crisis in anesthesia", aimed at training in critical anesthesia scenarios involving capnopneumothorax and hyperkalemia crisis during massive bleeding events. The activity was developed in a Zone 3 simulation mode, seeking to achieve a high degree of situational realism and promote experiential learning through decision-making, leadership and team performance evaluation. The importance of a detailed pre-briefing and a fictional contract that establishes the commitment of the participants, who are recognized as intelligent, capable professionals committed to their learning, is highlighted.
