ABSTRACT

Simulation is a technique that enhances real-life experiences through guided practice in a controlled, realistic environment. It is not limited to adult patients; simulation is also applicable in pediatric care, particularly in pediatric anesthesiology. Although critical events in children are rare, they are unpredictable. Therefore, one of the main objectives of clinical simulation scenarios in pediatric anesthesiology is to recognize these events early, respond promptly, and initiate appropriate management to prevent irreversible consequences in pediatric patients. A specialized team of pediatric anesthesiologists is essential for developing clinical crisis scenarios, such as latex allergy, intraoperative fever management, respiratory events, and others.
