ABSTRACT
Introduction: sitting, as part of children's motor development, is essential for participation and development in various activities. Postural control is necessary to acquire this skill.
Objective: to describe the evolution of a patient with difficulties in postural control while sitting, who, as part of a physiotherapy program, received a handmade molded pelvic plaster seat (MPPS).
Clinical case: a 12-month-old of corrected age patient was diagnosed with global neurodevelopmental delay. After five months of continuous use of the MPPS, the patient achieved partial improvement.
Conclusion: in children with difficulty maintaining a sitting posture, a MPPS can be an accessible and effective tool.
