ABSTRACT

Ekbom syndrome is a relatively infrequent diagnosis in the dermatology clinic. It is a primary psychiatric disorder in which the patient believes is infested by insects, worms or lice that live and constantly damage their skin. This condition in the majority of patients has an excellent prognosis when treated promptly by a psychiatrist in which there is an indication to use antipsychotic drugs. In this article we report the case of a 53 old female patient with Ekbom syndrome.
