A sanitary intervention in the attention of young adults with risk of suicidal behavior

ABSTRACT

Introduction:/b> In the youth's stage, they register the second higher rates of suicidal intents.
Objective:/b> Implement a sanitary intervention on the attention of young adults with risk factors of suicidal behavior.
Methods:/b> It was carried out a cuasi-experimental study, of sanitary intervention with family participation on the attention of young adults with risk factors of suicidal behavior, Polyclinic “Romárico Oro Peña” from June of 2020 to June of 2021. 355 young adults with risk factors constituted the study population. Studied variables: age, sex, education, occupation, civil state, clinical classification, symptoms, and psychiatric dysfunctions. The intervention was carried out in three stages: diagnostic, intervention and evaluation.
Results:/b> Prevailed: sex masculine 56,9%, group of 35 to 39 years 28,2%, bachelor or technician finished 20,6%, workers 53,5%, divorced 38,9%, risk moderate 34,6%, suicidal ideation 53,2%, overturn depressive recurrent 24,5%. Existed a decrease of risk factors, symptoms and risk evaluation that was more significant in the Group B.
Conclusions:/b> It was demonstrated that the sanitary intervention with family participation was more effective, when achieving a bigger control of the risk factors, decrease of the symptoms and risk evaluation.
