ABSTRACT
Introduction: despite the broad Cuban student scientific movement in health sciences, there is misinformation about student journals in which students can publish. Objective: to develop a mobile application that works as a catalog of Cuban Student Scientific Journals in Health Sciences. Method: a study of technological innovation was carried out, between the months of August and October 2021, at the University of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Río. The research was developed in two phases, one of elaboration and one of validation. Adobe Illustrator CS6 software from Adobe Master Collection CS6 was used for image processing. Microsoft Word from Office was used for text processing. The app was developed in Android Studio. Results: DiRES has three main modules: Journal Directory, Editorial Guides and About Us. 81,82 % of the members of the group of experts evaluated the feasibility and possibility of generalization dimensions as very satisfactory, 91,90 % the applicability and 100 % the relevance and originality. In the user group, 100 % found the quality of the design and ease of use dimensions very satisfactory, 92,86 % the aesthetics of the interface and functionality, and 78,57 % the content of the product. Conclusions: an executable application was developed in the Android operating system that shows information on Student Scientific Journals in Health Sciences in Cuba, which received very satisfactory evaluations according to the criteria of experts and users.REFERENCES
