Methods: a longitudinal qualitative investigation was carried out, from September to December 2023, at the Faculty of Health Technology and Nursing at the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara, applying theoretical methods: historical-logical and analytical-synthetic, empirical: documentary analysis; and mathematicians: descriptive statistics.
Results: each student built their student digital portfolio by mainly compiling articles in certified magazines, electronic presentations; and videos taken primarily from the online health library.
Conclusions: the student digital portfolio was designed, structured, oriented and controlled according to the contemporary needs for the use of technologies based on the learning styles of the students, and allowed the development of technological skills in the compilation of resources that facilitate acquisition of knowledge of the scientific research methodology.
