Digital flow in aesthetic coronary lengthening.

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the digital flow has reinvented processes in dentistry, from diagnostic methods to surgical protocols. The precision and brevity offered by digitalization has encouraged research and incorporation by the clinic to speed up time and reduce errors in dental treatments. The goal is to introduce even more digital flow in surgical procedures to reduce the operating time for the patient and the operator.
Clinical case: a 70-year-old female patient, ASA I, referred by the Prosthodontics Department for crown lengthening in order to achieve compensation of the dentogingival tissues with the occlusal plane correction through the use of crown lengthening previously planned in EXOCAD. Pre and transoperative time was reduced, obtaining a more accurate symmetrical smile and gingival margin without compromising occlusion and periodontal tissues. Computer-aided design and manufacturing broadens the perspectives in a treatment plan, three diagnostic methods such as tomography, intraoral scanning and facial photographs are used together to perform a digital wax-up and articulator.
