ABSTRACT
Introduction: adrenal myelolipomas are rare benign neoplasms of adipose and hematopoietic tissue, mostly asymptomatic. They are usually diagnosed incidentally, and the surgical treatment of choice is laparoscopic adrenalectomy. Clinical case: 47-year-old female with a left single kidney who underwent simple abdominal tomography in the context of renal colic and hematuria, observing a tumor in the left adrenal gland measuring 9.1 × 7.9 × 8.1 centimeters. Based on the tumor size, she underwent laparoscopic left adrenalectomy, obtaining a pathological study confirming adrenal myelolipoma. Conclusions: every patient with an adrenal tumor should undergo a comprehensive evaluation to determine the potential malignancy and hormonal activity of the lesion, in order to establish the most appropriate therapeutic approach.REFERENCES
